Bienvenidos to Abue’s

Abue’s™ is more than just coffee or food to me — it’s a love letter to where I come from. Inspired by my Colombian roots, the warmth and joy of costeño culture, and most importantly, my grandmother — the matriarch of our family and the woman who sparked my love for coffee and cooking — Abue’s was officially created in 2023 to honor her legacy.

After losing my grandmother, I felt a deep desire to keep her spirit alive in a way that felt tangible, warm, and full of love. That’s how Abue’s was born. What started as a small “living room café” quickly turned into a social media sensation, with people from all over wanting to experience the feeling behind it — eventually growing into a pop-up café and a dream much bigger than I ever imagined.

Some of my favorite memories with my grandmother were the simplest ones: sharing a cafecito together and eating her homemade arepitas whenever she visited us in the States. Those moments became the heart of Abue’s. What began with coffee and arepas evolved into handcrafted syrups for coffees and matchas, specialty dishes inspired by Barranquilla and the Colombian coast, and a space that feels like golden hour in the Caribbean — warm, nostalgic, vibrant, and made to bring people together.

Abue’s is about culture, community, storytelling, and living with that contagious type of joy from within that my grandmother carried with her. I’m so excited you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this piece of my heart — and my culture — with all of you.
